It was crazy. I had lists and lists of things to get done. I made a list of the remaining days that Mark had off, and we had a checklist for every one of those days to get everything done with the house, boat, etc. We were also trying to help the kids manage their emotions of sadness over leaving their friends and the only place they had known.
This is also a month still filled with end of school-year activities: dance, chess class, play dates, Kindergarten and 3rd Grade Field Day and lots of contractors fixing things, me selling a lot of things on Woodlands Online, and figuring out our timeline for the move!

May 5: We accepted a contract on our house! (4 weeks after
listing, and a long week after hearing that a contract would be coming)
May 6: Mark and I flew back to Denver by ourselves to look at more houses, look at our favorite from our last trip (the one we ended up buying!) and decide on one! The Leal's were nice enough to let Ryan and Lauren spend the night at their house and go to school with them the next day.

May 11: Mark flew back to Denver
May 12: Our 11th Wedding Anniversary! Celebrated with Dinner
and Styx/Reo Speedwagon concert with Scott and Lisa.
May 17: Lauren’s Kindergarten Music Program. She thoroughly enjoyed her program!

Chess Classes:
Ryan has taken chess classes off and on for 2 years. This is a picture of the last session, which he also took with Alex and Gracie.

May 18: Our friends, The Creighton’s hosted a going away party for us with Cub Scout friends. We appreciated their help so much during the last couple months. They were amazing and we will never forget their generosity. They used to move with the military, and understood the craziness we were going to experience!

May 29: My mom's Birthday! Lauren got excited adding extra whipped cream to the Strawberry Shortcake!
May 31: Last day of school. What normally is “the best day,” was bittersweet for Ryan and Lauren, and they felt it was “the last time they would see their friends.” Ugh!
